Ammo can in the woods
This is a traditional cache which should be a nice drive-by on the
Yellowhead Highway. The GPS was not very accurate as we took our
readings, so this might involve a bit of a search. Look to the
mountains around you to see why Lucerne got its name. The
population of Jasper tripled all at once when the Grand Trunk
Pacific Railway (now Canadian National) moved all personnel and
families from Lucerne to Jasper.
The container is an ammo can, as green as it can be, as we think
of reduce-reuse-recycle. The daps family used this can to carry the
mandatory first-aid kit in our car during our 1st tour in Canadian
Forces Europe (1977). It has now become a relatively weather-proof
geocache container.
