This cache is a part of Blitz08.
This cache is placed in Askew Park. It was established in 1977 in
honour of Julia Askew, the first person of European ancestry born
in Chemainus. If you enter the park at the corner of Oak and Fir St
there is a sign to explain the history of the area. If you enter
the park at the corner of Chemainus Rd and Oak St you will find an
eagle's nest and a great trail following a creek to the cache. The
cache is neat the edge of the trail and is medium sized oval
container with a red lid wrapped in a garbage bag. It contains a
number of bird traders (we are the MTNesters). FTF gift is a
beautiful Native Heron Decal.
