After a hint or two about a eat and greet up in Aberdeenshire,I have spoken to the Shepherds Rest at Westhill [it is also a Premier Inn]about a group of us meeting on Saturday May 24th starting at about 4 to allow those that have children to be able to join in and then leave earlier if they need to.
Now unfortunately they can't let us use their extension as it isn't licensed for children. But they can let us use the family area, what i need to know is rough numbers for the evening so that they can make sure they have adequate staff on.
There won't be hundreds of new caches appearing but there will be one or two new ones i'm sure.
For the serious hillwalkers i can recommend the Gordon Way. At present, it is open from Suie to Essons car park at Bennachie, a distance of 27k/17 miles. There are a number of caches that have been placed along [or just off]this route.
