Geocelc Dau Goleudy Traditional Cache
Tortoiseshell: I visited the cache site today and it has indeed gone. I shall not be replacing the cache due to the concerns about erosion etc noted by previous logs.

The cache is hidden on the shoreline east of Burry Port. On a good day, there are good views of two lighthouses (i.e. "dau goleudy" in Welsh) - namely Whitford and Burry Port.
This geocache combines one of my childhood fascinations (lighthouses) with one of my adult fascinations (geocaching).
Please use common sense when attempting this coastal cache. Though there are no major hazards, please be mindful of weather conditions.
"Geocelc" (Pronounced phonetically in English: Geokelk) was used as a Welsh term for geocache in an article in the Welsh language current affairs magazine, Golwg, in October 2007. It is hoped that this cache will encourage use of the term amongst other Welsh speaking geocachers. Hopefully more "geocelcs" will spring up around Wales!
The cache is hidden slightly off the Milennium Coastal Path to the east of Burry Port. For the moment, it is a tupperware container hidden in a (rather garish - but water resistant) pink drawstring bag.
