Welcome to “It’s Not So Stinky Anymore!” When Sakiman and I heard that even though Stinky Hill "GCJC7H" was archived, it was still there in it’s original location. So when we found the cache, we saw the great views from there!
The cache container was in sorry shape, but I replaced the container with a decon container and contacted the owner. Since I hadn’t heard from the owner about reactivating the cache, I decided to submit this cache listing in the exact location. The cache can be found in the Norman Levy Nature Preserve in Merrick. The container is now a pill bottle and can be found quite easily once you are at GZ. The log is now Tyvek, so be sure to bring a writing utensil with you, especially one that can write on Tyvek!! Be sure to sign in and check the views from here. Post some pictures too! Enjoy the walk and the preserve and to those who are new to the game, there area couple of other caches that can be found in this park! The park's hours currently are 7am to 6:30pm, with lessened hours in the winter season. Make sure that the cache container "SNAPS" shut when closing, so to keep the moisture out of the cache container. Please return the cache to it's original location and be sure to cover it up well!
