This is the last of a series of sixteen caches forming a figure of
eight just south of Sherfield on Loddon. The route is around seven
miles over very flat terrain.
Most are micros containing a log and pencil, some are small
snap-lock containers containing log, pencil and a few swaps.
Suggested parking is to the south of the ring although there is
alternative roadside parking available, close to cache #12, at N51
17.937 W01 01.398 near Ducketts Farm.
Please take an OS map with you as not all the paths are indicated
on the ground.
I have set the terrain difficulty to 3; representing the hardest
part of the route. Most caches are less than this.
At the time of placing parts of the route are very muddy or
thoroughly waterlogged.
Please see individual cache pages for more information.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOOTPATH IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED BETWEEN CACHES
1 AND 16 DUE TO FOOTBRIDGE REPAIRS.
Navigation from #15 is not easy. The path across the meadow is
indicated on OS maps but not sign-posted on the ground.
Your maps are essential here!
The actual path had me ankle deep in water. (Otmoor scale 8)
When replacing the cache, please take time to step back to the path
to ensure the cache is well covered.
Thank you.
