Geocache Description:


Dedicated to one of my regular geocaching buddies, Survivor Florida. I was with him the day he hit 3,000 finds (I hit 300 finds that same day) and really wanted to place a cache in honor of his milestone...one that he could appreciate.

Unfortunately, I was not prepared to make the hike to this location and didn't have a way to get my bike to the parking area. Enter another one of my geocaching buddies, SONOTECH. We went geocaching on April 25th and had our bikes with us...so, while he went to pick his wife up from work, I made the lengthy ride to place this cache, and he returned to pick me up and drive me home. What a buddy! Thanks SONOTECH for your help!

Since I know how much Survivor Florida appreciates caches that take a certain effort to reach (hike, bike or kayak) and then are relatively easy finds once you've arrived, this one should be perfect! Expect a bike ride, horseback ride, or hike in excess of 5 miles...EACH WAY! An easy find, no bushwhacking required, so there's no question about getting a smile for the effort. Don't forget that return trip!

Bring plenty of water. I highly suggest biking or horseback riding for this one. I had no issues with cell phone reception, so you've got a lifeline in case of an emergency.

Congrats Survivor Florida! And thanks for all your guidance as I've progressed from a complete novice to a seasoned geocacher.

This cache has a couple of cool items in it...a new Hot Wheels car, a handgun lock (gotta keep the kids safe), as well as my trademark Deck of Cards...and the FTF prize, instead of a $1 bill, is an OakBucks $1 geocoin.
