HIKE OR BIKE. This micro cache can be accessed from the far end of Long Mile Road, or the Waipa mountainbike carpark. Its a bit of a walk (20mins) or bike (10mins) uphill to the cache site, but once there, you'll be rewarded with good views to the south, Mt Moerangi and Hohohoro bluffs and if you come from the Long Mile Road, you'll also enjoy some city and lake views on the way back down.
From the far end of Longmile Road ascend to the cache site via Nursery Road - a forest road (not the bush track) You will need to turn off only once but dont be too premature.
From Waipa Carpark you will need to turn off twice. Good track signage has now been erected at the Pohaturoa/Nursery Road intersection and this should help also.
BE ON THE ALERT FOR MUGGLE MOUNTAINBIKERS, WALKERS, AND RUNNERS, This is quite a popular and busy place especially in the weekends. Please place the cache back carefully as you have found it.
Cache is non magnetic. Look for the orange lid.
Back at the carpark on Longmile Road is a scenic loop track which only takes 5 minutes - well worth walking if you have the time.
