Did you know that there are more cars on Long Island then there are people? And there's lots of people on Long Island, lots of drivers....lots of traffic...lots of road rage... There are drivers that drive too fast, some drive too slow. Some cut you off, some drive right around you as you slow down for a stop sign (Which they run past it). Some ride their brakes, some stop dead and then put their signal light on. Some on their cell phones...The list goes on and on...You get the picture, lol! These things can make one crazy!
I'm sure most of us are guilty of doing one of the things mentioned above (maybe more). Then you have those busy intersections that you have to drive through on your way to work. You know, those intersections where you can sit at for 3 lights and then finally cross the road. well, this intersection where this cache is located was one of those kind of intersections for me at one time.When you log in your visit feel free to post one of your driving gripes! My gripe is those people who drive 40 MPH in the left lane on the parkway and slow the rest of us down! If you do not like street corner caching, pass this one by. Area VERY busy ALL day, and busy most of the night.
Best to do after 11PM, police do patrol the area at night. Either way please use stealth retrieving and putting back. Best to park at the diner on the Northeast corner of Old Country Road. Walk west to cache from there. There is a crosswalk by the corner but be sure you have the right of way before going to the 'Island' this is a very busy right turn lane. NOT a good idea to bring children to seek this cache! Cache is a nano. yes, the half sized kind. I know one can not fit the date and name in one spot but please try not to exceed more than two spots on the log. BYOP! This is an easy find, just watch the road as you cross, not your GPS!
