In the heart of the Romney Marsh, located close to a footpath. Can be approached from various directions, check on OS map for footpaths.
This geocache was placed by my father (The Kentish Fox). I adopted the cache in June 2020 following my father's death the previous month. He loved this place, and indeed, Romney Marsh as a whole, so I felt it was important to keep the cache active and well maintained. This letterbox has been active on the Dartmoor Bounders website (www.ian.kirkpatrick2.btinternet.co.uk) since 2006, therefore the First to Find honour must go to The Moor We Hunt who found it using only a map & compass on 2nd October 2006, well done to them. Instructions for letterboxers: OS Landranger Sheet 189. TQ.99?.21?, Pylon mid-point 27.5°. Two chimneys 297.5°. Gable end of grey barn 281.5°. Instructions for Geocachers: Follow your magic box of electronics. General Instructions: The Cache log is in a small plastic container inside a larger plastic container. Please leave the rubber stamp for letterbox collectors to use. If you would like to take an impression of the stamp please bring an ink-pad & your logbook. If you have your own rubber stamp please leave an impression in the letterbox/cache logbook. Please remember to bring a pen/pencil if you want to write in the logbook. As the cache is small I would rather people didn't leave too much in it. Please ensure that both boxes are closed securely Have fun.
