GeorgeW Traditional Cache
phlatlander: The farmer's mower did its job too well, the cache is gone. Fun while it lasted 7+ years.

Cache is located near the Harte Trail extension, west of the Perimeter
This cache was muggled and then "disappeared" last fall so the container has been changed and will now be much more difficult to muggle. It is now a cammo’ed 35mm canister and contains only a log – bring your own writing device.
The Harte Trail begins at the East boundary of the Assiniboine forest and then follows a former railway line to the Perimeter Highway and west. The original railway line on which the trail is now located was built by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railroad and operated from 1894 to 1972. During that time it became part of the Canadian National Railway system. The last train to use the tracks was the Prairie Dog Steam Train. Many citizens use the Harte trail but most do not proceed further west of the Perimeter. You can however, walk or bike this trail another 7miles/11km to Beaudry park.
If you are caching in the early evening, be on the lookout for deer and the occasional fox. Beside Tailleu Road you can see a private runway and further west, Breezy Bend Golf course. This trail is a little known gem.
Good parking on the side of Hall road near
49 50.919 / 97 21.098
Do not use Tailleu Road (sometimes called Nile Road) unless it has not rained for a month or more as this is a dirt/clay road!
