This is it folks. The real location of the film...
NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
Many locations claim to be the location of the 1968 cult classic "Night of the Living Dead" but this is it. When you get to the parking location have a look around and you should start to form a picture in your head. This is the location of the opening of the film. The landscape has changed some since 1968 because a tornado hit the area in the 80's (thanks zark427 for the info). But you should start to recognize the scene. The farm house where the majority of the film was shot was a victim of the windstorm. The picture above should ring a bell if you've seen the film. The best way to enjoy this cache is to watch the movie before you go looking for it.
The parking is located in the Evans City Cemetery. The cache however is NOT in the cemetery and not near a single grave. There are a few paths to take so no need to bushwack. DO NOT DO THIS CACHE AT NIGHT because the cemetery closes after dusk. So please use common sense and be respectful while you're there. We've been wanting to place a cache here since we started geocaching four years ago because it is a neat piece of local history. How many other cities can claim to be the ZOMBIE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!
The cache is a 30 caliber ammo can with the usual swag. There is an unactivated geocoin for a FTF prize. So good luck, have fun, be respectful, use common sense and watch out for that zombie coming down the road.
