Choc Ice n Chips - Happy Ending
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Welcome to the Choc Ice ‘n’ Chips mystery cache series. This will take you on a 6 mile walk along the banks of the river Humber, round the Far Ings nature reserve, past lakes, over fields and through a disused quarry.
The co ordinates given are for the car park and not for the cache.
The series will take two to three hours to walk, or could be attempted by bike if you wish.
We would recommend doing the series in the following order:
Something Got Me Started
Another Brick In The Wall
In Too Deep
Bridge Over Troubled Water
Somewhere Only We Know
Hideaway
Don't Stop
Suddenly I See
The Tide Is High
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Happy Ending (mystery cache)
You will need to collect random letters from all ten micro caches in the series in order to work out the coordinates for the mystery cache. Once you have found them all, write the letters out in alphabetical order and use the code bellow to convert the letters into numbers, the first five being the northings (53'??.???) and the last five being the westings (00'??.???). There, easy!
A-5,B-4,C-3,D-1,E-6,F-9,G-8,H-5,I-9,J-7,K-1,L-0,M-5,
N-2,O-8,P-5,Q-7,R-2,S-4,T-8,U-8,V-6,W-3,Z-9,Y-7,Z-0,
For fun, each cache in the series is named after a song title which is loosely related to the cache itself (very loosely for some!). We hope you enjoy singing the songs to yourselves as you walk round!
There is a special prize for the first 20 finds, please take one. We hope you like it!
Oh, and by the way, if you were wondering why we have named this series Choc Ice n Chips, it's because when Mrs B was a little girl, her late father would bring her here and say that they would have choc ice n chips for tea!!!
