Updating the info on getting to the trail head. Vulcan Materials has built a trail next to their road going up the canyon to make it possible for the public to get to the Fish Canyon Trail Head. The information can be found on the internet but the posted info is they have provided a parking lot for the general public to use and the lot and trail are open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The trail is .7 miles up to the bridge from the lot and is fairly easy going for all ages. Bring water. They say it's open daily but I have not been there on a weekend, so check it out ahead of time if you're trekking on a Sunday. Be aware that there might be delays if they are blasting the day you plan to hike.
