Geocache Description:

The O'Shannassy Aqueduct Trail follows the old aqueduct from O'Shannassy Weir at East Warburton, to Don Valley where it meets Coranderrk Aqueduct which runs from Badger Weir (near Healesville). It is very level and great for walking or bike riding. There are some great views along the way as you walk through beautiful fern gullies and mountain ash forest. These caches are designed to be done as a continueous ride/walk, or you can park at a start/finish point and walk in and back from there.

You can start this cache from Road 18 (off Donna Buang Rd), or from the end of Cement Crk Rd (also the start of The Aqueduct Trail 5). The start waypoint (at Cement Crk Rd end) is about 500m from where you park the car, and is where you will join the aqueduct as it exits the pipe. This first section has a bit of a climb but it doesn't go for long, also at the start you seem to be heading in the wrong direction but the track soon swings around. At the Warburton end there is another section where the track leaves the aqueduct, (where it enters a pipe again) and heads uphill to meet Track 18 (finish waypoint) and then up onto Donna Buang Rd. Here you need to head downhill and cross the aqueduct to meet up with the track on the other side which leads to The Aqueduct Trail 1.
