Cache is located at Jim Mitchell Lake with just below 700 metres of elevation and provides a nice view of the lake and two peaks that we think are Mount Thelwood and Moyeha Mountain in the background.
You have a couple of choices of how to access the cache. If you have 4WD and it is summer you can probably drive right to the cache. Winter time will involve snowshoes and a fairly steep hike. Summer without a 4WD will also involve a fairly steep hike. The difficulty is listed as a 3 but can range anywhere from 2-5 depending on the season you attempt this and what type of vehicle you have. We went up at the end of April to place the cache and needed to snowshoe the remaining 3 kms to the cache site with some serious elevation changes. The view is phenomenal though.
Magnetic micro. Black film canister with a large magnet on it. The cache only contains a log book and a pencil, no need to bring any swag just record your visit in the log book.
**CONGRATULATIONS to dloubert and hike n'bike for the FTF**
