A fairly easy cache in the Blaenavon area of Torfaen. It should take no more than 20 mins from the car parking to get there and back. The terrain is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Sturdy footwear recommended.
It is a steep climb up to the cache site if directly following GPS but a more gentle climb if approached from rear, using the board-walk. Please try to keep to the recommended trails.
There is ample car parking at the Big Pit Car Park (N51 46'.408 W003 06.335') but there is now a charge of £2 for all day parking so to get your money's worth whilst you are here take an opportunity to visit the Big Pit Mining Museum. Slightly further afield you can also visit the Blaenavon Ironworks and the Blaenavon Heritage Centre.
This cache was originally set up by PinballDave and adopted in July 2011 by The Brat Pack. It is now a magnetic key safe.
