SK: Každý z nás má svoje sny. Sen
Obcania Ceskoslovenska,
ktorí mali iný názor na formu vlády a
politický režim, sa zmenili z legitímnych
názorových oponentov na nepriatelov. Aby títo
nepriatelia nemohli uniknút do bezpecia
demokratických štátov skôr ako sa s nimi
komunistický režim v Ceskoslovensku definitívne
vysporiada, bola postupne vytvorená represívna
zložka Pohranicná stráž a uzavretá
hranica so Západom. Vyše 380 osôb bolo od roku
1948 do roku 1989 usmrtených strelbou, vysokým
napätím, mínami a inými zákrokmi
Pohranicnej stráže. Tabulky s textom „POZOR,
stali symbolmi slobody a nesplnených snov. „Je na
západ cesta dlouhá“ spievalo sa v jednej starej
trampskej pesnicke, ktorá celkom presne vystihovala
krutú realitu.
Dnes to už naštastie neplatí a nikto vám
EN: Everyone has some dreams. The dream to freely express
one’s opinions became for many citizens of former
Czechoslovak Socialist Republic just non-achievable desire,
connected with the highest danger. The citizens of Czechoslovakia,
who had different opinions to the form of the government and
political regime, were changed from rightful opponents to the
enemies. It was necessary to prevent escape of those enemies to the
safety of democratic states, before they were definitely solved by
communist regime. The borders with the West were closed and
repressive unit “Borderline guard” was created.
Gunshot, high voltage, mines, and other actions of Borderline guard
during the period of 1948 – 1989 killed more than 380
persons. The signs with text “DANGER, borderline area,
entrance on permit only” surrounded also the area of
Pecniansky Forrest through which you will get to this cache. Many
people sadly ended their adventurous journey faraway from wired
barricades. Thousands of others were caught in this borderline
area, sentenced and imprisoned for an attempt to illegal leave the
republic. This borderline and the world behind it became a symbol
of freedom and unfilled dreams. “It’s a long way to the
west” was a text in one of old tramp songs that quite perfect
describe the cruel reality.
Nowadays this is no valid anymore, fortunately. Nobody will stop
you when you will try to discover these, in the past inaccessible,
regions. Many of them, who were not successful, would consider this
situation as fulfillment of their big dream. Remember those people,
when you will stand at this place.
Please place the cache to the same place; it should stay there also
during floods.
