What was this thing? Why was it blown up? Who built it? Are the
stories about it true? The place has a reputation of human
sacrifice and murders, ghosts and strange rituals, so be
forewarned. Read about Kay's Cross here: Kay's
Cross
The ruins are located in a wild and wonderful woods,
criss-crossed by animal trails—I saw no human tracks except
my own--deer all over the place. Who knows if any mountain lions
hang out there, but I had the creepy feeling of eyes watching
me.
START HERE: PLEASE don’t cut through people’s yards
or past any No-Trespass signs. If there’s a better way to
enter, I couldn’t find it, but you can park here N41 02.996
W111 55.235 if you don't want to park at the school and follow a
small trail between houses to access the "hole under the fence"
which is here: N41 03.058 W111 55.295. The school principal gave
permission for people to pass through here BTW.
