Geocache Description:

Cache located a short distance off of the nature trail at the George Mitchell Nature Preserve in Creekside Village

Cache is a jar hidden high and dry. Contains a log and a couple of small pencils but you might want to bring your own pen or pencil. Satellite reception is spotty in the area. If you are need of a hint, take a look at the picture. Lots of damage from 2016 spring flooding but hiding spot is still standing firm.

Congratulations to The Great Scotts for FTF!

The dedication and grand opening of the 1,700 acre George Mitchell Nature Preserve was held on the 33rd anniversary of the opening of The Woodlands, October 19, 2007, along with the dedication of The Woodlands Village of Creekside Park. A half-mile nature trail, one-mile down and back, was opened off of Creekside Forest Drive just west of Gosling Road. The George Mitchell Nature Preserve, named after the visionary founder of The Woodlands, is a joint effort of The Woodlands Development Co., Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner Ed Chance's Office, The Woodlands Association and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Recreational Trails Grant Program.
