This cache is not at the published coordinates, since
that point of confluence is on private (actually Government)
land. If you want to know more about getting to the integer
intersection of a line of latitude and longitude, go to ”The Degree Confluence Project."
Very close to these coordinates (about 1.34 miles away) are
latitude and longitude palindrome coordinates. That is, the numbers
read the same forwards and backwards. Though there are a couple of
possibilities, there is only one that’s 1.34 miles away. But to
make it easier on you, I provided a
Geochecker.com. coordinate check.
I have been down the road to the final many times. I have seen
it posted for No Trespassing and No Hunting. I ran into
someone along the road a couple of weeks ago who said the road
itself is public Forest Service Land. So you are okay. North of the
road (about 50 yards north of the cache), you can see barbed wire
fence. Beyond that fence is probably private land, so don’t go any
further than the cache.
If you can’t drive in due to ruts and such, it’s a very short walk
from where you have to stop.
