Towering Over the 417 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Inkyfiller: I went out today to look for the cache and, indeed, it appears to have disappeared. As I no longer live in the area and Inkyfiller can't maintain his caches anymore, I have decided to archive this cache. In addition, there are No Trespassing signs in the area now. Time to let it go. Thanks to all the folks who stopped by to turn those stones. Hope to see you on the trails! Best wishes from Inkyfiller's "Chick"

Geocache Description:

Find this cache between Ottawa and Montreal off a rural residential street near the 417 and County Road 17. Cachers traveling east to west on the 417 will have a longer route to the cache. You must not park on the 417. Not only is this illegal, but you will not be able to reach the cache from the highway.

Dotted along the 417 between Montreal and Ottawa are many communication towers. This cache is close to one of these towers, hence the name. The cache is located off a rural residential road on an access road. You do not need to cross the gate to find this cache. If you reach a water-filled quarry, you've gone much too far!

There is a log book and a writing stick in the camouflaged cache container. Please remember to replace the cache exactly where you found it. Congratulations to Kabuiter for being First to Find this cache!

Happy hunting.
