Welcome to Beeman Creek County Park, located in Clarence, NY. The jewel of a park is completely undeveloped. The terrain throughout the park is varied; you’ll find beautiful forests, rolling grasslands, marshy swampland, dense overgrowth and naturally, Beeman Creek. We’ve only found one actual trail that runs through the park, unless you count deer-trails. There are a number of those. But don’t worry; in order to complete this cache, you won’t be sticking to any trails for long.
We can say that this is probably the most challenging hide that we’ve done thus far. If you don’t like bushwacking, long hikes, possibly getting wet, swamps, thorns, bugs and pushing yourself to the point of exhaustion, well, this probably isn’t the cache for you. However, if you do like a challenge and have a love for adventure, you’ll probably have fun with this one.
This is a 4-part multi cache, with the final leg being a .30 cal ammo box. Each leg of the cache will give you coords to the next leg. You know how it works.
It is recommended that you plan on getting wet. Things were pretty dry when we placed the cache and we were able to circumvent the puddles, but after a heavy rain or during certain times of the year these areas will be EXTREMELY wet.
So, in closing, wear boots and long pants, bring extra batteries, bug-spray during bug season, cache with a friend, be sure to set several waypoints because you’re going to get turned around, bring an extra change of clothes in case you get wet and be sure to have a blast when searching for the cache.
