Geocache Description:

An easy to find Geo cache located on the Saugeen Rail Trail.
Access to Rail Trail is from Louis Street/Queens Bush RD.
Note: No need to go on private property.

The rail trail is the original rail bed of the Wellington Grey and Bruce Railway. The mainline extended between Guelph and Southampton with mainline stations in Elora, Fergus, Drayton, Palmerston, Harriston ,Clifford , Mildmay, Paisley, Port Elgin and Southhampton.
The Geo cache is located on land which was once the unloading yard for the equipment used to construct Douglas Point Nuclear Station. Eventually a spur line was built to Douglas Point The spur line is located 200 yards further South to the right. If you continue on the trail south to the left you’ll eventually come to the Millcreek Railway Bridge
The mainline from Guelph to Southampton was approximately 105 miles long.
