Old Settlers Park is a less than one acre open space site located
in downtown West Bend. This site, commemorating the first European
settlers in the West Bend area, provides a small area for rest and
relaxation with a fountain and piped in music located in the center
of the downtown. It is a center point for the city and many events
take place here including bands that play and the weekend farmer's
market along the streets. In addition to purchasing market items,
stop by Old Settler’s Park for live entertainment and
demonstrations. Each week brings a different entertainer or
demonstrator, including various live musicians and demonstrations
on soap making, cooking and others. Controversy has arisen in the
last few years to tear down this beautiful little park and use it
for parking. Hopefully the city will continue to keep this jewel of
a park here.
