CITO EVENT
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!
Update May 13:
I just checked on the site and its looks like this will be a very
easy CITO event. We are going to meet at the posted coordinates
around 10am. For those of you who have not been to the lost nations
area it is a nice area. After the initial meet to get organized I
would like to head to Silas Doty Cave
GCTZVW. This will be a fun addition to the CITO event.
Afterwards we will meet back up at the Lost Nations area for a
picnic and meet and greet. I will bring some hamburgers and
hotdogs, buns, and plates, I will also have bottled water. If you
are interested please let me know so I have an idea of how much to
bring. And as always if you have any questions feel free to conact
myself or Rockin' Roddy! Hope to see you all there!
While
checking out the MiGO
website I came upon a forum about a SE Michigan CITO event and I
figured what a great way to hold my first event. So with the help
of Rockin Roddy here we go………………….
We are
heading out to clean up a couple of sites in Hillsdale County that
is listed on the cleanforests.org website. One is
located just outside of Pittsford Township, the other near Long
Lake. We are looking for the help of our fellow Geocachers. Both sites are relatively small cleanup
areas and should not take more than an hour each.
There
is a bit of a distance between the two sites that might be a great
opportunity to get some caching done in between. I will look into a
pocket query and see what I can find between the two sites. We are
looking for someone with a truck or trailer that might be able to
help haul the trash from the second site back to the first. If
interested or available let us know!
The
event is set to take place on May 17, 2008 at 10am. There will be a
short meet and greet to get things started, then we will head in for the cleanup. I will provide
trash bags and bottled water, you may want to bring along some
gloves. If you have any questions please contact Team
Coxaaron or Rockin’ Roddy and
we will be glad to help you out.
