A small Cache on a rural country road west of Gilroy. There is
only room for very small trade items. Please bring your own
pen.
I recently did the windmill cache near the Hunting Hollow
entrance to Coe Park. It reminded me how much I enjoyed these
windmills as a very young child. I lived in a small rural town in
eastern Colorado. My next door neighbor, Art, had a farm which I
often visited. The prominent feature I remember on Art's farm was
the "The Aeromotor, Chicago" windmill. These had to be the original
"green Machines" as no electricity is required! Art's windmill
pumped water into a circular reservoir for his livestock. I still
remember the "clankity clank" rhythmic sound the pump shaft made as
long as the wind was blowing. This cache will be easy for most
experienced geocachers but has decent camo so it should not be
easily muggled. There is no need to go onto private property to
access this cache. ENJOY!
