More Bars in More Places Traditional Cache
flyfisher: I am archiving all my Government Canyon caches. I just can't maintain them from afar and have not been making enough regular trips to the canyon to keep them in good shape. Many thanks to all who visited and to the park for letting me place the caches. This should open some nice places for others to place caches in this beautiful park.

This cache is in Government Canyon State Park. It has been approved by park officials. The park is presently open Friday to Monday from 8 AM to 10 PM. There is an admission charge to Texas State Parks if the cacher does not have a state parks pass.
(edited Dec 21 08 and cache replaced)
I thought about what this cache should be called for several weeks. I have been here at sunrise and been awed by the rising sun above the cedar trees. I have been here in time of flood and enjoyed the power of nature.
However, one of the things I notice about this state park all too often is the lack of cell phone coverage for most of the park. This particular spot is different and does have pretty good coverage. So my phone has more than one bar.
But also, when I look around this place, I see dozens of concrete bars. They are littered all over the tarmac at my feet. There is even a rock bar over in one corner that looks like a bartender might sometimes stand behind it and serve up refreshments.
