Located at the corners of Highway 135 and 21 in Embarrass, MN at the Embarrass Information Center. PERMISSION GIVEN BY EMB.TWNSHIP Clerk.
Embarrass,MN can be described briefly as being known for its climate, history, and heritage. CLIMATE: known for being one of the coldest places in America in the winter- when it can reach 60 below zero. HISTORY: The French Voyageurs once traveled through this area on their way from Lake Superior to the interior of Canada. HERITAGE: Embarrass has a very strong Finnish-American heritage. It celebrates National Sauna Day and is known nationally for its collection of Finnish crafted pioneer log homes. There is a Finnish sauna(steam bath) here for you to see at the visitors center. The cache is not in the visitor center.
