Geocache Description:

The Poestenkill Creek which flows through the Town of Brunswick is known for it's trout fishing and waterfalls. Many years ago, before back yard and public swimming pools, the creek's swimming holes were the places to go on those hot summer days.Folks came from around town and out from the city to this ole swimmin hole, one of about 5 along the Poestenkill on it's way to the Hudson River. "Cannon balls" and diving from the rocky ledges on the other side were the past time. A quarter mile downstream is another favorite spot even today for families with youngsters to wade. Today, fishing and the "tubers" who enter about a mile upstream off Garfield Road also enjoy the creek.Parking is allowed by the no dumping signs.

May this cache continue to challenge and inspire new cachers.
Although adopted, may the true CO behind this hide be
remembered.
