Kopjafa Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoKs: Confirmed that the container is missing (again). We've replaced 3 or 4 times now, so have decided it's time to free this area up and maybe another Calgary area 'cacher will find a way to place a longer-lasting hide, maybe even something related to the new Peace Bridge (opening in 2012).

Geocache Description:

We enjoy biking along the Bow River pathway system and have been pleased to see over the past few years, several pieces of public art installed along the pathways in the downtown area. We hid a black, magnetic nano cache at one of our favourite pieces.

A Kopjafa is a uniquely Hungarian sculptural art which originated over a thousand years ago. This one was presented to the City of Calgary by the Hungarian Arts & Heritage Foundation of Alberta, on the occasion of Alberta’s Centennial celebration in September, 2005. It represents nobility, honour, peace, friendship and gratitude. In addition to the Alberta wild rose, you should be able to spot a couple of tulips (a common theme on Kopjafas) as well as some more abstract and geometric forms.

This is a log only nano, so be sure to bring your own writing instrument.
