Geocache Description:

On the Esplanade at Ventnor, the most southerly of the Island's Victorian resorts.

A sand and gravel beach with room at all states of the tide. The waves can be quite fierce when the wind or swell pushes in but this provides fun for the surfers instead of the more gentle swimmers.
Lovely long walks can be had in either direction, following the Coastal Path signs. To the East along the sea defence walls and up on the cliffs to the west. Either are worthwhile.
Several pubs serving food on the sea front, with the Spyglass providing a terrace on the sea wall and some lovely sea food platters and local ales.
For fresh seafood to take home the Ventnor Haven, by the "bandstand" has a fresh fish shop open most days.
The cache is accessed from the public footpath/ Esplanade - you don't have to go "in" anywhere to find it.
The cache is a 35mm film cannister.
