6 x 8 inch lock and lock in a small park
Beech Street follows the historic wagon road which led from Toledo to the town of Siletz seven miles to the north. Now overgrown, the road followed the ridge tops between Depot Slough to the west and Olalla Slough to the east. A new road was later located along the edge of Depot Slough, and finally, the current road was built on the abandoned railroad grade which once brought logs to the mills.
