This cache should be a fairly easy find on some fairly steep hillsides.
The Newport House Restaurant had been a long-standing tradition in this area for many years. Its a beautiful spot along Irondequoit Bay. Unfortunately, it closed not too long ago and only the marina remains. There is now talk of developing the area with condos and townhouses. What a shame. So, I thought I'd put a cache in before the area is developed and let others enjoy the bay area. While there is parking off the road near the cache area, it is across the street from the entrance to a gated community and may arouse suspicions. It will probably be best to park at the bottom of the hill at the marina/old Newport House parking area and walk back up the hill to the cache area. Cache is small with a logbook and pencil and possibly room for a few coins or a small TB. Congratulations to Staghorn for beating out Wheelygood by just minutes on the FTF!
