Witherslack Wander [1] - Yew Might Be Right
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This is one of four caches in a four mile circular route designed to be walked in an anti-clock wise direction starting from the car park as way marked. It is hoped this will appeal to families, as there is plenty to see on the way. Please note the paths can be muddy so boots or wellies are advisable.
This cache is set in a small woodland which is reached by walking through the CWT Nature Reserve of Latterbarrow.
From the parking place look for the sign the public bridleway to High Fell End and follow this path. By the gate there is a box of leaflets produced by Cumbria Wildlife Trust which gives information about the area. It is particular noted for flowers and also butterflies in the summer months. There is a bench nearby so sit a while and have a read of the leaflet and admire the wildlife around you.
Follow the main bridleway (blue arrows) through the reserve and go through the gate. The cache is not far beyond this gate. As the cache is in woods and GPS signals can be tricky use the name of the cache and the clue to help you.
