Short walk from the nearby parking lot. Grass trail to the cache, which is a small match stick container. Mosquitos & ticks may be present.
This area was named after Mrs. William Tippetts who owned the land in the 1920s. The large mound to the north is Mound 61, a 10 ft. platform mound. The smaller mound to the south is Mound 62, a 6 ft. conical mound. These mounds are linked on the west by a U-shaped causeway and a borrow pit on the east. Extending out into the borrow pit is a penisula with a squared platform, which was probably shaped when the dirt was dug out of this area to build the nearby mounds.
Deer and turkey are often seen in this area.
