Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden beside the path which leads up to the lighthouse at Black Head, Co.Antrim. This path is part of a scenic walk which starts at the car park in Whitehead - about 2.5 miles round trip. There is no need to leave the path to find this cache. The ground falls away steeply on the seaward side - take due care and do not stray on to this area. The terrain rating reflects the nature of the path from Whitehead.

Black Head is a striking geological/geographical feature and the lighthouse perched on top sends out a beam that can be seen for many miles around. If you like an interesting walk, perhaps a little tiring in places it is best approached from the car park (N54 45.359 W005 42.133)at Whitehead. This way can take you up a steepish zig-zag path which at some times of the year is like walking through a wild flower garden. You can then continue down other steps after you find the cache and return via the path around the foot of the headland with its fascinating coastal features.
The cache is a magnetic nano - please bring a pencil. Beware of muggles passing by - be at your stealthiest best and return the nano carefully and precisely afterwards.
At certain times of the year overhead vegetation may influence your GPS readings - however, the hint should make the cache easy to find.
