Geocache Description:

I asked myself this long, snowy winter of 2008, “How can two of my very unrelated passions, knitting and geocaching, work together to create my very first hide?” Well, this is what I came up with…enjoy!

.

The posted coordinates offer recommended parking and entry to the undeveloped 32 acre George P. Tilma Nature Preserve, a part of the City of Wyoming park system (cache placed with permission). For general information, please call 616-530-3164, or visit the website at http://www.ci.wyoming.mi.us/ParksRec/parks-recreation.asp All park rules and regulations apply.

The dense tree cover will be a factor in finding this cache, which, along with solving the puzzle, contributes to the higher difficulty rating. The container is a como’d plastic pickle jar containing a knitted FTF prize, additional knitting-related swag, and some toys for the kids.

There are many deer in the area and, if you walk quietly, they will just stand and stare at you! If you haven’t already done the nearby, “Soggy Bottoms” cache (GC88D8)…placed in 2002!!...do it too, and you will get a full tour of the Preserve.
