Geocache Description:

This should be a fairly easy cache, easy walking trails, no bushwhacking. Please access from the Annis Road in Hermon (not from Route 2).

Welcome to Ecotat Gardens and Arboretum! 91 acres with 60 gardens, 150+ varieties of perennials, and 200+ varieties of trees. This is a wonderful place to bring your family and walk through the well marked and maintained trails. Educational and fun, Ecotat derives its name from ecology and habitat. Here you will find a variety of plants, flowers, bushes and trees with markers so that you can identify what you are looking at. The Board of Directors is delighted that geocaches have been placed here in hopes that more people will come and see how special this place really is. This is the first of four caches that I have placed here at Ecotat and I will be submitting the others over the course of the next few days. There is a parking area on Annis Road and a kiosk where you can sign in and get information. Admission is free and there are benches for you to sit and rest, smell the flowers, listen to the birds, and enjoy the scenery. Much like my Geo Zoo, I want this to be a place to bring the family, teach the children how to geocache, and learn about the flora around us. Enjoy!

Note: This cache has been moved 4 feet from where I originally placed it and the trees have grown in a bit on the path that leads into the cache. If you are an eagle-eye, you might even spot this one from 15 feet away as you approach the area.

Note: Since I placed this cache the trees have grown in a little
