Geocache Description:

A slice of Cambridge History and Views from a different perspective.

Cambridge has two crossing of the Waikato River, imaginatively known as the "High Level" and "Low Level" bridges.
One of these is over 100 years old and is recognised as an engineering masterpiece.

The above co-ordinates (close to the cache location) are a picnic area at the site of the boat landing from days when transport was primarily up the river. Cambridge was the southernmost landing heading upstream, with further boat travel blocked by the rapids visible from here below the Low Level bridge.

A circular walk on well developed paths, crossing both bridges is recommended and will uncover the facts required below.

Further information is found at: (visit link)

You require to find the opening year of both Waikato bridges.

Cache can be found at S37deg 53.(Low level year-1143) and S175deg 28.(High level year-1227)

Checksum (6 digits) = 25
