Regular cache with the usual goodies. Lots of hiding places nearby.
Ubirr also known as Ubirr Rock is my favourite location in Kakadu. The main area consists of a 1km circuit featuring Aboriginal Rock art thousands of years old and a lookout looking onto the vast wetlands below. When you see pictures of Kakadu, this vista will no doubt be featured prominently.
Opening hours are 8.30am to sunset (April 1 to Nov 30)
2.00pm to sunset (Dec 1 to March 31). Access may be difficult during the wet season.
The cache is located outside of the main site out of respect for it's cultural significants. It's located near the "Border" store and, flooding permitting, should be accessible at any time.
