Cache is placed at Cashel picnic area on the North side of the Glenshane Pass near Benedy Glen which is just off the main road. This small sanctuary of a picnic area lets you enjoy some great views of the Sperrin Mountains. Cashel takes it’s name from the Irish Caiseal meaning circular stone fort, there is no stone fort here today but there is evidence that this area has been inhabited by man since early Christian times. Cache is a long cylindrical container containing a log and pencil, could be classed as a cache and dash as it close to the side of the road.
