(Pronounced leh-nerd skin-nerd) Gimmie Three Steps toward this cache and you’ll never see me no more. Back again, another musical cache from the dissonant minds of Radnord and Wildeyes7. This time it’s a tribute to a taste of southern comfort, Lynyrd skynyrd.
Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American Southern rock band. The band became prominent in the Southern United States in 1973, and rose to worldwide recognition before several members were killed in a plane crash in 1977, including lead vocalist and primary songwriter Ronnie Van Zant, near McComb, Mississippi. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 13, 2006.
This is a Simple Kind of Cache, regular jar-type, but of course, camouflaged. Sweet Home Anderson Landing, park that is, off Anderson Hill Road is where you will find Lynyrd Skynyrd. Well, I'll Tell You Plainly Baby What I Plan To Do, 'Cause I May Be Crazy Baby But I Ain't No Fool, and neither will you be when you discover this gem hiding about 50 feet from the path. A few ferns and logs to navigate, but no hard-core bush whacking. If I Leave Here Tomorrow, Would You Still Remember Me? For I Must Be Traveling On, Now, 'Cause There's Too Many Caches I've Got To seek. So, Don't Ask Me No Questions about this cache, And I Won't Tell You No Lies. I had about 20 ft. of accuracy when pinning down the coordinates, but my humble e-trex can sometimes be off. I tested out the coordinates and my e-trex said that I was within 4 feet at the cache location and so I am confident that these should work for you. The canopy cover is pretty thick in places and so you’ll want to have you unit warmed up before entering forest.
Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers, And they've been known to pick a song or two. Lord they get me off so much, They pick me up when I'm feeling blue, Now how about you? Seeking this cache will not leave you blue, unless you get stung by the nettles, I would advise long pants. I tried to locate it in an area where nettles were few. However, the First To Find will be filled with joy as there is a very special FTF prize awaiting within.
