A spot we always love to be.
Been here you realize that nature makes you feel you are a tiny part of this world. Every time we visit this place the feeling never changes, just staggering.
To get there just take the exit from the roundabout of Pafos highway A6 to Marathounda village and continue to Episkopi village. Not to be confused with Episkopi near Limassol, this Episkopi lies about 11kms northeast of Paphos.
After geocaching visit the old Saint Ilarionas ruins at N 34° 47.696' E 032° 31.553'. You can see the new Saint Ilarion on top.
The Original container has:
FTF certificate
Pencil x2
Pencil Sharpener
Log book
Small picture frame
Micro flash light
Researches in Europe led light
Pen Keyring
LR44 batteries x2
Kellogg’s micro radio
½ Gb SD card ( Not for trade – Use to make digital photo )
I hope you will enjoy the spot as we do.
Note: As usual in summer it is very hot so bring with you a lot of water. Also watch out for snakes. Best way to avoid snakes is to make ground noise by using a stick.
**** FTF honors 'HackiB' ****
********PLEASE NOTE AS OF 19/3/2012********
After JF20938 log, i must say i admire his will to find the cache, which he did in a scary way.
Please do not search any cache in Cyprus if you do not feel safe about doing so. It just not worth the risk with hiding snakes. The point is to admire the view.
Any log from now on to this cache can be marked as found as long as you post a photo with you and the Gigantic Rock.
