Geocache Description:

Spring iz sprung the grass is riz, hope nobody else iz!

This historically was the Anglican cemetery, the Presbyterians are across the road. Historical plaque on site about the Royal Sappers & Miners. Sign on cemetery across the road also has some info about these builders of the Rideau Canal. None of the workers probably had any idea of the impact this feat of engineering would have on this part of the world and that in 2007 if would be declared a World Heritage Site along with the Fortifications at Kingston. Visit the nearby Newboro Lock and find the cache we have hidden there. Should be a quick cache & dache unless you take some time to read the stones. As usual be respectful. Good off road parking.
