Geocache Description:

Just a short walk down the Mountain to the Sea Trail from the entrance off of Ravens Ridge Road. Entrance is well marked, trail is well kept and there is a gravel pull-off to park. Small container with logbook. Bring writing instrument.

This is the trailhead for Section 1 of the Mountain to the Sea Trail in Wake County. This section heads up to the Falls Lake Dam and loops back out. If you have never walked these trails, you've missed one of the better trail systems in Wake County. Most of it follows the contours of Falls Lake and it is divided into sections... so if you are a beginner you can take a short walk or for the avid hiker you can head out for a long day. The MST in Wake County runs for about 26 miles from Falls Lake Dam to Highway 50 (Creedmoor Road).

The cache is just slightly off the trail and easy to get to. This one is not far from the gravel pull-off and should be a quick find. Enjoy the trail.
