Whether you prefer to call it Bogangar or Cabarita Beach, this is a beautiful place to visit. Sandy beaches and rocky headlands abound. The walk to the cache takes you past a favourite local surfing spot and up to Norries Head. We watched three dolphins swim by while placing the cache and some serious whale watching could also be done in season.
The area can be busy and you might like to pick a quieter time to disappear off the platform down to the cache.
Note that GZ is not the place to take little ones or perhaps for those who aren't comfortable rock hopping on slopes. There are some small cliffs about and care should be taken especially if it's wet. Pine needles can also make the area slippery. There is no need to go down too far from the top of the rocks where the slope gets steeper. If in doubt, use the spoiler photo below.
