Neither could I. So, let's get together at a great park and have
fun anyway. It will be less costly than traveling to California and
maybe just as fun.
Where?
This event will be held at one of the Guilford
County Parks called Lake
Mackintosh
When?
The picnic shelter at these coordinates has been reserved from
10am until 2pm. We will have a cookout of hot dogs (and possibly
steamed vegetables) with chips and sodas. No alcoholic beverages
allowed!
What?
The park has many activities available as well. There is a beach
volleyball court, horseshoes, a play area for kids, boat rentals
and 3 miles of hiking trails. Check out the links above for more
information and prices of boat rentals. Of course, there are
geocaches as well. I have added a bookmark link to this page that
has all the active caches in the park along the trails. There are
several other caches in the area too. Something for everyone.
RSVP
Please post a "Will Attend" no later than
May 20th with the number of people in your party. I need an
accurate count so I know how much food to purchase. Cachers who
post a "Will Attend" on time will be entered into a drawing for
prizes and will be first in line for food.
If you are bringing a child or children with
you, please let me know the age(s). I am planning activities for
the children and want to make sure I have something for
everyone.
