Geocache Description:


A circular walk around the Precipice Walk near Dolgellau. This is not a cache for people with vertigo as sections of the walk are along a narrow path with steep drops on the left hand side of you. Although the cache itself is located on part of the walk that has not got steep drops.

I would not advise taking young children on this walk unless they are under control AT ALL TIMES!

But you could do the cache and retrace your route back to the car park, as the steep drop section of the path is further on.

I think this cache site has got probably the best view of Cadair Idris and the Morfa Mawddach you will find in the area. I have added extra waypoints for a free car park at the start of the walk. From the car park you can follow the signs marked the Precipice walk which is clearly marked. When you get to the lake walk along the right hand side of the lake towards the cache site.

The cache is a small snap lock container; it will take small swaps and trackables. It is about 20 metres up hill off the path.
