Geocache Description:

Historic Site.

This cache is located on the Old Bathurst Road at the eastern end of Hartley. An Historic Site run by the DECC (national parks) At the foot of Victoria Pass it is a fine example of 19th century early settlement.

Take the time to go on a self guided tour of the town with information boards at regular intervals.The village is open everyday except Wednesdays, with guided tours from 10-1 and 2-5. Contact NPWS on 02 6355 2117.

Please do not stop on the Highway to find this cache.There is safe parking on the old road (you just need to find the entrance). Take the your time to explore the area.
